Occupying our Day
Some days , especially when it's cold and snowing outside, we get a little stir crazy. Being a toddler must be hard, because so many things that you try to do, you just are too little for yet (not that that doesn't stop them from trying). One cure is to go for a short wagon ride. Ethan hates getting all bundled up, but he does love our destination. We don't have any parks nearby, but we do have the amazingly exciting school bus that parks down the street from us. Ethan checks it out thoroughly, patting the tires, the lights, the bumper, etc. The neighbours must really wonder at us, because we can spend a good 20 minutes just walking around the bus. When that gets old, Ethan likes to push the wagon, then try to push the school bus ... no such luck. It's stuck!

your walk to the school bus to check it out reminded me of when we lived in lewiston. we were right by the HS, and the marching band would practice almost every morning at 8 AM during the Fall. we'd either watch out the window or sit on the front steps in our pj's. the kids loved it. it was like our own personal parade every morning.
Hey, no wonder he likes the little toy school bus we have. Just think, in just a few short years, he'll be riding one! Believe me, the time goes fast. It seems like yest. our oldest was born and now she's getting driver's class brochures and our 4th will be getting on that bus this fall. Pinch me. . .do I really have kids that old?
