Love at first sight...

The Maestro!

My stylish brother-in-law!

Notice the Tractor sweater that Grandma Elsie made Ethan? We couldn't get him to take it off, even when it got hot ... he loved it!

My Dad ... King of Composting!
Kaitlyn meeting more rellies ... aka hot potato baby!
Auntie Janet and Uncle Hughie
Benita and Douglas (my cousins). So funny to see them entertaining our kids now when it used to be my sister and I playing with them when they were little! Makes me feel OLD!
We made the trek back to my roots for Memorial Day weekend. I really wasn't looking forward to it, mostly because it's a long trip with 2 kids ... one of whom is only 4 months old and hates her carseat! Fortunately, they pleasantly surprised us and did really well with the trip! The main motivation for the trip was for my Grandma Elsie to get to meet Kaitlyn. I love the pictures of them together ... they were both tickled pink with each other! Kaitlyn is wearing one of the sweaters that Grandma Elsie knit for her. My grandma is not up to as much as she used to be ... or so she claims. She still had completed 2 sweaters -- one for Kaitlyn to match the baby blanket she'd made for her a few months ago and one for Ethan with a John Deere tractor on it in the last couple months! At 88, my Gram continues to amaze me!
We stayed with my sister and brother-in-law this time and the kids had fun together.
Ethan and Evan really hit it off this time. They especially bonded when Grandma Lynda and Grandpa Allan let them play in the dirt of one of their window boxes in their Sunday clothes! Thanks Mom! Everything changes when it's your grandkids.
